Board President

Chris Andersson became a founding member of The Other Side of Silence (TOSOS) while playing drag-queen-street-hooker Shanghai Lil in Doric Wilson’s The West Street Gang (2002), the kickoff of a pre-AIDS, gay-themed play series at NYC’s LGBT Community Center to celebrate the revival of TOSOS. Chris went on to play drag-queen-street-hooker Ceil in the 20th anniversary revival of Doric Wilson’s Street Theater at the Eagle NYC (2002-2003) and has continued in the role whenever the play is on the boards. In addition to his drag duties for TOSOS, Chris is proud to have been named President of the TOSOS board, after serving three years as Secretary. He has parlayed a 25-year career in higher education, including 12 years as the Director of Admissions for the Drama department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, into a career as an independent educational consultant who helps theatre, film and dramatic writing students navigate the college artistic review process. To serve young artists in the best way possible, he founded Nothing But Drama in 2014.
